This week in ABC Kids we looked at the true story of Daniel. Daniel was faithful to His God - even in exile. And God was mighty to save.

Read all or parts of Daniel 6 together and talk about the ways God was mighty to save Daniel.

TALK ABOUT IT TOGETHER

King Darius realised what Daniel had known all along. He knew that his God was the living God and the real King of everyone and that he saves his people. Because he knew God is the real, living King, did Daniel choose to obey God and pray or to obey the new law and stop praying? (He obeyed God and kept praying)

What did God do for Daniel when he was in the Lions’ den? (Protected/Saved him;sent an angel and shut the lions’ mouths)

For older Kids: How did what Daniel knew about God affect what he chose to do when he heard the new law? (Possible answers: he feared God instead of people; he obeyed God instead of the bad law; he trusted in God even though he was at risk…)

For older Kids: Can you think of a situation when doing what God has created us to do – pray to him, love him, tell others about him – might cause difficulty for us? What do we need to remember about God if we feel scared or anxious in those moments? (We can trust God in every situation!)
