Hi Church,

Trust you are enjoying God’s good creation in this amazing part of the world that we live in. What better part of the world to share with others about the creator and saviour!

During the weekend services just gone we were reminded that when 1 sinner repents and puts their trust in Jesus that there is rejoicing in heaven (Luke 15:1-7). We have both the privilege and task of joining in God’s saving work by sharing the good news to those in our midst here in Albany. Can I encourage us as a church to be thinking, Who’s Your 1? Who’s your 1 person who you know and encounter and will commit to praying for 1 minute every day?

As we pray to the God who is mighty to save, we trust he will be at work softening hearts toward himself, and we’ll have opportunities to speak words of truth and life into their lives. Some practical opportunities that will be coming up that you can also invite those whom you are praying for are:

  • Our easter services, (Friday and Sunday) which will be tailored toward the non-believer.
  • The Alpha course, which kicks off early term 2 where there are opportunities to explore the Christian faith and ask plenty of questions.

I for one am excited by what God will be doing in the lives of those we commit to praying for and long to rejoice alongside the angels as sinners come into the kingdom of God. That’s the prayer, but for now, let’s identify who that 1 person is and pray for them 1 minute every day.

To him be the glory

Dan
