May Missions Month  1/5/2024

Welcome to May which for us means welcome to May Missions Month. Over this month we will be giving an extra focus in our services to international missions.  There are two things we hope you will do this month.  Pray and give!

There are three special focus missions projects this year. They are in the attached flyer.  Can you please firstly pray for these projects and those involved in them. Each week in our services we will tell you more about them.  Can you secondly pray about how much you will give above and beyond your normal church giving.  Each project goal is $5000 so we hope to raise $15 000 this month to equip these mission projects. All the giving details are on the attached flyer.

To add to this international flavour we will have two students from USA arrive in 3 weeks today and stay for two months. Daniel and Amelia will give their summer break to serve us, specifically our children, youth and young adults. Pray for Daniel as his visa is yet to be approved.

Also, we have four short term mission trips going later this year from amongst our interns. Three to Thailand and one to the Philippines. You will hear a lot more about these and have the opportunity to help with fundraising as the months go on.

Finally on a local level we had the joy of seeing 10 invited guests come to Alpha last week. Please pray they will keep coming and be transformed by the gospel. Seven churches in Albany are running Alpha- please keep them all in prayer.

Our desire is to Know Jesus and Make Him Known- which includes to the ends of the earth.  Let’s pray for both workers in the harvest field and people to receive Christ.
