Here at ABC we’re on about knowing Jesus and making Him known. That’s the mission of the church. That’s why we are here and why we exist.

 As we head into another year of following Jesus together in 2024, and as we think about how we will best thrive and grow in community with one another, we think you prayerfully need to consider how you will respond to the following three questions.

Where will serve in 2024?

Serving at ABC is not about filling spots on a roster! Because Christ first served us, we serve others.

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13:14-15

Every Christian – in some way, shape, and form – is called to glad and sacrificial service of one another. In service of one another, we follow in the footsteps of our Saviour, the One who stooped low and served us.

Where will you serve in 2024?  Please spend some time praying about this. For some of you this will mean starting to serve at ABC, for others it will mean choosing one area of ministry to give yourself in service to in 2023.  Let’s chat! How will you give in 2024?

Giving generously is one of the ways way we honour Christ and contribute to the ministry and mission of the Church.

7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

As the cost-of-living increases, our giving serves an act of both worship and trust in the One who gives all things and provides for our every need.

In Old Testament times the people of God were commanded to give a tithe (10%) of all they received back to God.  Whilst this may serve as a helpful guidepost, no direct command exists in the New Testament other than that we give sacrificially and cheerfully. How much will you joyfully give in 2024?

Which Growth Group will you join in 2024?

We are called to a kind of community where we are known and loved. From the very beginning God’s people have always loved to gather with one another.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. Acts 2:46-47

It’s all too easy to come to one of our large and growing services and be unknown. Growth Groups are a necessary way we grow Deep in the Word and in our love for one another. Growth Groups meet all throughout the week and at various times. Which Growth Group will you join in 2024?
