G’day ABC

I was encouraged to chat to some other Albany Pastors this morning to hear that in the next couple of weeks there are about 12-15 people getting baptised across 4 churches.  How exciting to hear that God continues to transform peoples lives through Jesus in our town.  A number of these are related to the combined Alpha series we did after Easter. Praise God!!

Here’s a few things happening at Albany Baptist…

  • This weekend we are having three baptisms. Two Saturday night and one Sunday morning.  The Sunday Baptisms will be done during the service and the Sunday one at Middleton Beach at 11:45am. We’d love you to come and hear what God is doing and to encourage those being baptised.
  • The Banquet Weekend is two and a half weeks away. This is the main time the whole Albany Baptist Family gets to be together for an extended amount of time.  We will sit together under God’s word, hearing Hayden Patterson do three talks from Revelation. We will sing and eat together. This year we want to have a lot more time for building community and sharing our lives together. We want you to come out of the weekend build up, rested and connected.  The basic program will be..

      • 10am    Tea and Coffee
      • 10:30    Session 1- Singing, Revelation talk and Kids program
      • 12:00    Lunch
      • 1:30      Activity
      • 2:30      Arvo Tea
      • 3:00      Q & A
      • 4:30      Session 2- Singing, Revelation talk and Kids program
      • 6:00      Tea
      • 7:00      Church Family Fun Night
    • Sunday 5th November
      • 9:30      Session 3- Singing, Revelation talk, testimonies and Kids program
      • 11:45    Lunch
    • Registrations are open until Monday 30th October. Cost is either $15 per person or cook a meal to share.  Please register at The Banquet Weekend 2023 | Albany Baptist Church
    • Saturday night is a Church family fun night- can you let me know if you have an item, a skit, a song or a piece of music you or your family or a group of you would like to share.
    • Finally as we come towards the end of the year we are starting to fall behind on our giving to meet our 2023 Budget.  As God has freely given to us we are called to freely give.  Please prayerfully consider what you are putting in the offering each week before God.  If you haven’t made giving a regular part of your Christian worship then please consider this.
